Gokshuradi guggulu is the ayurveda preparation mainly consisting of gokshura and gugglu. This is a good drug of choice in UTI, renal stones and various other urinary problems.

Method of preparation:
First of all gokshure is boiled with six times water till it remains to half making a decoction. Then, gugglu is added to the decoction and cooked, till the viscous liquid is obtained. After, the fine powder of remaining ingredients trikatu, triphala and mustaka is added and stirred properly. Ghee or Eranda oil is added subsequently in the mixture to prevent the mixture from burning. Finally, tablets of each 3 rathi are made and stored.
Dose:
1-2 tabet twice or thrice daily.
Properties and uses of gokshuradi guggulu:
1.This preparation has sodhana, lekhana, mutrala, pramehahara, ashmarihara, mutrakrishyahara and vataraktahara property.
2.It has more action mainly in urinary system and is mainly used for the treatment of urinary disorders like UTI (Acute, Chronic and Recurrent),cystitis, nephritis,albuminaria, renal stones, ureteric stones, bladder stones, spermatorrhoea and many other diseases. This can be used along with antibiotics for the treatment of UTI.
3.It also acts a a good alkaliser and soothing agent in urinary system.
4.Due to its aphrodisiac property, it it used in various male sexual dysfunctions like spermatoorrhoea, premature ejaculation, nocturnal eneuresis. It is also used in prostitis and benign prostate hypertrophy.
5.Due to the presence of gugglu in this compound, it can also be used in pain management , which are related to urinary and reproductive system like in PID, backpain, dysmenorrhoea.
6.Gokshura is a good diuretic, so this preparation can be used as diuretic and used as accordingly.
